Chapter 15: Farewell

Poo liked it at the Waterfront Hotel as she did not need to shut the curtains at night and could watch life from 21st floor. The steam clock chimed regularly to wake her up, but she could not hear as she snored too loudlyin her den.

Misery bear's sense of smell did not let him down despite his age. He could smell the brewery from the bridge to Granville island, the brewery was around somewhere he smelt, but where was it? It was hiding 200 ft below his feet directly below the road bridge to Granville Island. Crossing the motorway at the zebra crossing was the most dangerous thing Poo and Misery had done for weeks, but Misery was determined to find the brewery, and eventually Poo and Misery had to calm their nerves at the Granville Island Brewery below with a taster round, or two, before deciding that the water taxi was the safer way back.

Having crossed the motorway road bridge on foot, Poo summoned up the nerves to cross the Capilano suspension bridge, and a couple of tree bridges. Who ever said that said the Millenium Bridge at London swayed too much??? They should try this one - the drop is a bit bigger too.

Misery is very miserable now he is home as it is his half century birthday soon. Poo and Angus are going to take him away for the weekend in his new car, and as misery enjoyed his cruise so much they are going to stay in a lighthouse that has been converted to a hotel near Stranraer. There, Misery can see the sea. In the meantime, he has been standing in the spare bedroom looking out to the sea horizon, thinking of his next cruise to Mexico in December.

Cheers!
